For a year singers and players from the heart of Germany prepare themselves for the performances. About 100 practice hours and examination of the history of the king have left their marks on the participants. "I got to know David as the perfect figure in Sunday School, as one God was well pleased with at all circumstances", says Livia Schienbein, who participates as a singer. I only got to know now that David also had flaws and weaknesses, but nevertheless he always returned to God. That makes him a role model for me.

Violins, flutes, drums, electric guitar, harp, 120 voices, diversified music, the life of an ambivalent personality - a combination with potential. The concert project already attracts attention. "I heard the singers to the park and also other passers-by listened in", says Christian Schweda, who during a practice in Leipzig, where his wife participated, was walking with his son. How well the music was received by the walkers is unknown. If the David Oratory meets your own taste, can be found out next week, when it premieres at the Leipziger Paul-Gerhardt-Church Saturday evening. And then of course at the ICC. An overview of the concert's time table and locations is available in the second part of the documentary.

The David Oratory will be performed three times:

  • on 31 May 2014, 19:30 at Paul-Gerhardt-Church in Leipzig
  • on 6 June 2014, 20:30 at the Olympiahalle in Munich
  • on 21 June 2014, 17:00 at the New Apostolic Church in Stendal
